Aircraft

Our club glider fleet includes a L-23 Super Blanik, one L-33 Blanik Solo, one ASK-21, two LS-4’s, and a LS-6b. The club’s tow planes are a CallAir A-9 and a Piper Pawnee (235HP). In addition, about 20 privately owned sailplanes are based out of New Castle International Gliderport.

BG – Alexander-Schleicher ASK-21

Our second purchased new ASK-21 that was bought in 2014. The tail letters BG is in memory of a stalwart member and tow pilot, Bob Gilhooly. The ASK-21 is a primary trainer, glass transition trainer, and overall fun ship to fly.
